Egyptian-style rice with vermicelli

This is the most favorite food in Egypt. Rice is serve with all kind of meat, with vegetables, or simply with a salad. Try to cook this rice. I am sure you will like it😊
Egyptian rice
Ingredients 
rice 300 g
vermicelli 100 g
salt optional 
black pepper optional 
water 700 ml
vegetable oil 2 tbsp

Directions 
Soak rice for 15 minutes in a cold water, wash it well.
Add vegetable oil to the saucepan, heat the oil and add vermicelli. Fry vermicelli over medium heat until golden.
 Add rice, fry with vermicelli for 2 minutes stirring all the time.
 Add boiling water to the mixture of rice and vermicelli, mix well. The water should cover the rice by 2-3 cm. Increase the heat and let it boil. Only then add salt and pepper. Stir again, cover with a lid, make the heat to a minimum and cook for 25-30 minutes. All the water should boil off.
 For crumbly rice, don't stir it during the boiling period. Or if you want to stir, do it with a fork.
 After the rice is ready, turn off the stove and allow the rice for 5-7 minutes under the lid.
 This rice should be served with meat or vegetables.
