Egyptian-style Orange cake


  Ingredients
  zest of 3 oranges
  orange juice 1 cup
  3 eggs
  brown sugar 1 cup
  vegetable oil 1/2 cup
  vanilla sugar 1/2 tsp
  wheat flour 3 cups
  baking powder 1 tbsp

  Method of preparation
  1. Heat up oven to 200°C/392°F.

  2. Mix eggs with a mixer for 2 minutes. Add sugar and mix into foam.

  3. Add orange zest and baking powder. Mix well.

  4. Pour the orange juice into the dough (pour the juice after adding the zest and baking powder, so the cake will be very fluffy) and mix well again.

  5. Add vanilla, oil and mix it.

  6. Add wheat flour and knead the dough.

  7. Brush the baking mold with butter and sprinkle with flour.

  8. Pour the dough into the mold and put in the oven.

  9. Bake for 40-60 minutes.
