Egyptian style Okra

 The birthplace of okra is Egypt. This vegetable has been known since the time of the Pharaohs.

 Ingredients
 frozen okra 400 g
 onion 1 pc
 tomatoes 300 g
 garlic 2 cloves
 vegetable oil 3 tbsp
 beef broth 500 ml
 tomato paste 1 tbsp
 salt, pepper, cumin optionally 
 lemon optional 

 Directions 
Chop the onion and garlic, mash the tomatoes in a blender.
 Pour vegetable oil into a saucepan, add onion and garlic. Fry over medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Add tomato puree, tomato paste, salt, seasonings, okra and pour beef broth. Cover and cook for 30 minutes or until okra should be soft. 
 The Egyptians like to pour lemon juice or any sour sauce on okra.
