Focaccia with bell pepper. A simple recipe. Italian bread.
Ingredients:
wheat flour 350 g
warm water 200 ml
olive oil 2 tbsp
sugar 2 tsp
salt 1 tsp
dry yeast 1 1/2 tsp
pepper optional
rosemary optional
bell pepper optional
Method
Mix together warm water, sugar, salt, yeast. Allow for 10 min. Add wheat flour and knead the dough. The dough should be soft and stick to your hands. Add olive oil and knead again. Put the dough on a baking sheet. Stretch out the dough with your hands, cover and allow for 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 200°C/392°F. Using your fingers, press straight down to create deep dimples. Sprinkle with olive oil and put on top the bell pepper. Sprinkle with black pepper and rosemary and salt as needed. Bake for 20 - 25minutes. Enjoy your meal 😉
